Book review: Invasion

Invasion is set in the future and sees the state of Arabia (currently a collection of Middle Eastern and North African states) invade Europe following a series of co-ordinated terrorist attacks. The invasion of Europe focuses on the United Kingdom and the attempts to capture the Prime Minister, Harry Beecham.

Invasion is an excellent book. It moves at a great pace throughout and details the invasion of the South coast and capture of London vividly. Beecham is constantly under threat of capture whilst in England, especially when being chased through tunnels under Whitehall. The action doesn’t let up and is written in a very believable way as the country is attacked and then occupied. I enjoyed the book immensely and found it very difficult to put down.
