Blatter is re-elected; should UEFA carry out the threatened boycott?

Sepp Blatter has been re-elected as President of FIFA after Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein withdrew from the contest after the first round of voting. Before the election, UEFA threatened that it would boycott future FIFA events if Blatter were re-elected, including the World Cup. Should they carry out that threat?

Could the World Cup go ahead without countries from UEFA? Yes, because I am sure that Blatter would ensure the event would go ahead. However, would there be the same level of interest in a tournament in which the start of the tournament would see Argentina and Brazil as the only realistic winners and traditionally strong countries such as Italy, Germany (defending champions), France, England and Spain all being absent? I doubt that there would be.
