Book review: The Taste of Fear

The Taste of Fear follows American actress Scarlett Cox and hotel tycoon Salvador Brazza. Cox has suffered a car crash and the couple go on holiday to Africa, unaware that an assassin is trying to kill them. Whilst in Africa, they get kidnapped by a terrorist group and taken into the Congolese wilderness.

The Taste of Fear was an easy to read novel that was enjoyable. The plot moved along at a good pace throughout and contained some good action, particularly at the end of the book. The ending was the best part and unlike many action thrillers was not predictable, with plenty of twists, turns and surprises; this makes a refreshing change as too often the ending of an action thriller draws all loose ends together in a neat package with a perfect end; the difference here makes it stand out from the crowd and easy to recommend.
