2 weeks a year is an account by a reservist medic (Trent Cherin) deployed to Iraq. Cherin documents the training before deployment as well as the journey to Iraq. Cherin shows how he went about finding humour in the situations he found himself in. Cherin also shows how much of the time is spent waiting. Cherin writes in a relaxed, entertaining manner for a subject that is incredibly serious.
