Book review: The Fulcrum Files

In inter-war Britain, talented engineers Ben Clayton and Stanley Arbethwaite are working a yacht when an accident happens. Arbethwaite is killed, but Clayton suspects it is no accident and starts to investigate further. His investigations result in him going to Nazi Germany as it becomes clearer that he is just a pawn in a much larger situation than he could ever have imagined.

The characters are well-developed and the action picks up in the final third of the book when Clayton travels to Germany and the plots various characters are involved in become clearer. The book is based upon true events, but given a twist. The pace gradually increases until Clayton goes to Germany, at which point it increases rapidly.
